The Initial Meeting

MACO first meeting was held on Friday, 15 August 2008. The meeting was attended by Tommy Handaka Patria, Agus Surachman, Cecep Wahyono, Yudy Hendry, Zainal Arifin (Bang Jay) and Hendra Hidayat at Saraswati. It was a simple meeting and everybody came up with simple idea. The need to have a community for sharing idea and knowledge is so culminating. Everybody were passionate to express their idea. We came to the same conclusion that the simplicity embodied the community. Simplicity means making the process simple, open to all software engineers and no predefined committee. We emphasized on the commitment, passion and fun. In other term, one might equate this simplicity with agile term. Based on this agile term, we coined the name for this community. We named as Mitrais Agile Community or for short we call “MACO”. MACO abbreviation is quite flexible by itself. It can interpreted as Mitrais Architectural Community, Mitrais Advanced Community etc. Finally we agreed to conduct the first presentation on the next Friday on 22 August 2008. The honor for the first presentation was given to Agus Surachman.
